RE: Ethics Board Docket No. 97-361

Dear Ms. Brignac:

The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its May 15-16, 1997 meeting, considered your correspondence of April 15, 1997 concerning your vote on a pay raise for your husband, the Chief of Police for the Village of French Settlement. According to the information you provided the vote occurred on April 9, 1997.

The Board instructed me to inform you that it would not accept the disclosure statement that you submitted since it was not timely filed and was not in the required form. You had been previously notified of the necessary form in Docket No. 93-099 and 93-157.

In the event you are no longer in possession of the rules concerning disclosure statements, I have enclosed those rules once again for your information. Also, please note that Section 1120 of the Code requires the disclosure statement to be filed within three days of the vote.

If you have any questions, you may call me at (504) 922-1400.
